I found my inner artist after a breakup many years ago. I needed a hobby to keep my mind occupied! So I decided to try paining. 4 months later, I'd done 40 paintings...and had an art show! All because I said 'yes' to the inner nudge.

When I'm stuck, I listen for guidance, and "hear' how to do a certain technique.
art is life; life is art
They say the way you do one thing is the way you do everything! Life is messy, creativity is messy, and that's now OK with me! I love when I make a 'mistake' on the canvas, and then it turns out to a blessing in disguise. Often I have no idea where I'm going on the canvas (sorta like life), but I trust the process, and stay with it, and something beautiful is created from the chaos. (just like life)
how painting helps
Painting brings me into a zen-space. I usually either sing, or talk to God when I'm painting. There's no room for worry or fear when I'm at the canvas.
